About Me
My full name is Alistair Douglas Baillie and I was born in Scotland during January in the year 1985.
After completing high school I went to the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow where I studied Software Engineering. At the end of my second year I decided it wasn't quite for me and changed to the Science Studies program and graduated with a BSc Science Studies (Computer Science) in October 2005.
While at university I was online editor for the universities student newspaper, Strathclyde Telegraph where I designed and wrote the software to publish an online edition of the paper. Unfortunatley my version of the site has long since been replaced by one of my predecessors, but you can still view some screen shots in my portfolio.
During my time at university and in my own spare time I learned many languages and technologies which are listed on the right. Although I am now away at sea working as a navigational officer for a cruise line I still continue to develop and host web sites for friends and organisations with the eventual aim of returning to full time web design / web application programming.
I invite you to have a look at my work and if you are interested please get in touch using the link at the top of the page.
